We are very pleased to announce the re-launch of the Kaikoura Roots Festival. Our last event was in 2006 and like a good painting we chose to hang it on the wall. After a 5 year break and with the emergence of some exciting new artists we have shifted down the road to a new site that has beautiful panoramic views of the Kaikoura ranges retaining the close proximity to the beach with lush sprawling paddocks to laze on.
Our Kaupapa is to produce an interactively creative environment for our artists and audience. For this reason capacity is restricted to a maximum of 2200 people on site. Our CD/program/ticket features tracks from the artists in the order of the program available from www.kaikourarootsfestival.com, Everyman, Cosmic & the Kaikoura iSITE. This years line up features a mix of roots, dub, reggae, dancehall, indi, blues, DnB, dubstep & dancehall styles.
