Gig Information

The end to a fabulous week has got to be special and so we have it with THE TRONS, New Zealand's (and the worlds!) first original 'robot band'!

The band has no human members, all instruments played by robots built from junk and salvaged materials. Their original songs influenced by the likes of the Velvet Underground and fellow garage kiwis the Clean.

The Trons have performed over 100 shows, two trips to Europe to music festivals in Prague, art galleries in Vienna, and seedy alley hangouts in Berlin. UK Guardian proclaimed them the most exciting electronic band since Kraftwerk.

The show includes live video feeds from miniature cameras on the machines, the images projected giant sized over the top of the band, highlighting the members in all their junky mechanical glory.

Curious audience members will be welcome to check out the band members close up
