The Shifting Sands Album Feel is out on Dunedin's psych-pop underground label Fishrider Records.
The Shifting Sands is a new venture from Mike McLeod (The Alpha State). The album mixes up driving sonic guitar pop and more textured jangling alt.pop. Joining Mike on the album is a who's-who of Dunedin music past and present, including most of David Kilgour & the Heavy Eights (DK included), Bob Scott (The Bats, The Clean) and drummers Robbie Yeats (Verlaines, Dead C) and Rob Falconer (Operation Rolling Thunder).
The touring band is Mike with bassist Tom Bell (David Kilgour & the Heavy Eights) and drummer Jake Langley.
Guests on the North Island leg of the tour are She's So Rad and The Eversons (Wellington show only) and Ghostwave (Auckland show only).
