DEVILMAN:
Devilman, hailing from Birmingham is a multi genre artist. Renowned for his unique and provocative lyrics combined with his easily recognisable voice and flow. Devilman was one of the first grime MC’s from outside of London and the first MC from Birmingham to feature on BBC1 Extra.
In 2005 Devilman released his first mixtape San Andreas. A year later, he clashed Skepta for the DVD ‘Lord of the Mics 2’, this clash is remembered as one of the biggest and most important clashes in grime history. The clash created a long running dispute between Devilman and Skepta, which resulted in numerous diss tracks being exchange by the two in 2015.
In recent years Devilman has released several mixtapes and EP’s on SIKA Records. Most famously his collaboration with DJ Looney and Badness on Drum and Bass Father in 2015, the video quickly became popular on youtube gaining millions of views, catapulting devilman to the forefront of the Drum and Bass world and helped Devilman to expand his following to a whole new category of music listeners.
With a growing following of Grime, Bassline and Drum and Bass listeners, Devilman has solidified his place as one of the most influential artists of his generation and continues to write music and perform regular shows around the world.
