Gig Information

Slippery Noodle fuse jazz, Latin, funk and soul to forge their own exciting brand of world music. The trio combines musicians of three nationalities. On bass guitar and vocals is Carlos Pla (Uruguay), on drums, percussion and tenor saxophone Nathan Koretz (New Zealand) and on guitar and vocals Lott Larsson (USA).

The sound is undeniable chemistry. From an opening set of classic jazz featuring tenor saxophone, to a bracket of creative original material, the rhythm section lays down a platform of infectious groove, while Lott Larsson weaves inspired guitar melodies.

Featuring both Spanish and English lyrics in vocal harmony and combined with colourful interplay and improv, the band takes the audience into the zone, where they experience real-time composition before their very eyes!

Wonderfully entertaining, Slippery Noodle enriches any concert or event with musical vitality.

PLOT.. A super groovy duo comprising Paul on acoustic guitar and Lott playing Boris the Double Bass. Originating from an epic Oparau Festival Kitchen Late night jam session, and growing through numerous Festival appearances, pub & cafe gigs, the dynamic duo first recorded together on Paul’s 2012 album “Shooting Stars”, which lead to other recording sessions and tours supporting Wellington artist Helen Dorothy for her ‘Light Time & Sound’ album. Playing a mixture of Paul Symons originals, a co-write or two, & uproarious versions of diverse covers; Plot will disorient you in a fun & foot-stomping way...
