With just over two weeks to go until NVRSFT hit Tamaki Makaurau, we've got a BIG announcement to make - we're bringing (almost) the whole gang along!
Up first is teenage heartthrob RVNNAH, master of smooth flows and club-ready hooks. A bounding on-stage presence, Rvnnah's music is turning heads all over the place with a sound that is melodic yet hard hitting.
He will be followed by LUCI, a broken-hearted busker with the voice of an angel. Experimental and melancholic, Luci is constantly creating music, and has become well known around the Wellington scene for his emotionally captivating and engaging performances.
Picking up the pace, out comes L. DREARY, the vampire of NVRSFT. Formerly a part of metal band Depraved, Dreary is gothic in both his imagery and sound, being heavily inspired by the heavy music in which he is rooted. His live shows are performative and heated.
Continuing on this dark theme is SADHECTORR, an ink-stained menace with a blackened heart of gold. Through his unique delivery, visceral production and blunt lyrics, Sadhectorr brings us into his savage world of pain, one word at a time.
To break the intensity, we have CIX50 - one half of DIELIZM - with trademark laid black flows, lyrical wordplay and hazey beats. Segueing stylistically between the new and the old, Cix preaches hustler's gospel in such a way that you can't help but nod along.
Up next is LBFRMIKEY, a staple of the NVRSFT roster and one of Wellington's brightest lights in hip hop. In his music, Mikey glides seamlessly from radio-readiness to raw underground energy, with an emphatic vocal style matched by few of his peers.
Closing this hellish night out is the gruesome twosome, CHRONIC SHNXMAN and YOUNG GHO$T. These two need no introduction. They've been working side by side ever since 2017 and still haven't slept. They eat sick for breakfast, and wash it down with cough syrup. While Shnxman screams, Gho$t schemes, the two forming a double-pronged aural assault that simultaneously shocks and incites the audience. This will be Shnxman's first show since the release of Gastroenteritis Episode 2, and a hometown return for Young Gho$t. Expect a high-octane set with blistering bars and bone-breaking beats.
They will be joined on the decks by beat selectors KRINGER, DOZY DOE, CNAR5K and YOUNG GHO$T.
