Labretta Suede’s reputation for live performances are show stopping, rockin’ the top shelf right off it’s hinges. This is a high class rockin’ and reelin’ show that should not to be missed.
Their well received internationally acclaimed debut album, ‘Not Food Hungry’ was feverously followed up with an EP, Loon-a-tiki, which cover New Zealand songs – from 1960’s show bands, late 70’s punk, into an exploration of NZ’s musical history.
These crazed, high octane fuelled Rock’n’Roller’s kicked off the year with a bang, opening for The Stray Cats ‘Farewell Tour’ and landing a record deal with USA label Ninth Ward.
This exciting USA tour schedule includes legendary venues like The Viper Room. Then Labretta and the boys begin recording their second album in Kansas
(of all places).
I am sure Labretta’s six inch red stilettos will be right at home there…
