Diesel Phoenix are touring nationwide in support of an anti bully campaign, to raise awareness and promote change in NZ Secondary Schools. The band are touring New Zealand in support of www.stoptheviolence.org.nz, an organisation raising the message that bullying is not ok and campaigning for free counseling for bullys and bully victims around New Zealand. The band have this to say:
"In March 2009 a quiet and shy girl was severely beaten at school, so badly that she never attended that school again. The fear she experienced forced her to change schools, not just another school, but in another city, away from her family and friends. She was a girl who campaigned during the month of March to have us play at her school in support of CanTeen, an organisation supporting teens faced with cancer. Our fan was beaten up two days before we were sheduled to play at her school. We arrived at the school and were devastated to hear what had happened and that she would not be there for our performance. Hence, the band are taking action to stop this sort of abuse happening to our young people in the future."
Diesel Phoenix are sheduled to perform 15 dates around the country mixing in-school performances to high school students, and exciting live events for the public
