Beginners’ Workshop
Sunday 19th February 2012, 12.00 midday
Grey Lynn Library Hall, 474 Great North Road, Grey Lynn
Duration: 90 minutes

So you’ve bought a ukulele, but you haven’t gotten around to learning it yet. What you need is a madcap, friendly, totally am-dram yet utterly professional introductory group workshop lead by members of The Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra.

The band members will impart ukulele skills, wisdom and wit in a lively class atmosphere. They’ll take you through tuning, chords, strumming, rhythm, singing, stretching, dancing and a little bit of uke history.

After just an hour and a half, you will have the ability to play a whole heap of songs using just a few chords! This is more than just an introduction to the ukulele; it’s an introduction to the joy of music.

(These workshops are generally suitable for ages 12 and above. We may consider younger children on a case-by-case basis. Please email ukemgmnt at gmail dot com with your query.)

Requirements:
- Your own ukulele
- Basic knowledge of C, F and G chords.
Cost: $55 per student. Numbers are extremely limited.

If you have any questions, please contact: ukemgmnt at gmail dot com
