BlackSandDiva, The Twitch & Miriam Clancy
headline 'Westie Girls' at Titirangi Festival of Music 2010
Hosted by Karyn Hay

The annual Titirangi Festival of Music is here for 2010 – and featuring a stunning and eclectic line up of female musicians comes 'Westie Girls'.

Its all about the attitude. With the contagious riffs and gutsy vocals of Fleur Jack & the Twitch, the soul funk jazz styles of Piha songstress Cat Tunks & BlackSandDiva, ex west based Miriam Clancy, and newcomer Katie Everingham.

These local west-side girls with attitude kick off the annual festival which runs from March 25-27, with a night of sassy song and rock n roll, hosted by none other than uber cool music gal Karyn Hay.

Heres what the critics say about 'our girls'......"IRRESTISTABLE FORCE You can’t help but be pulled towards Miriam Clancy’s Magnetic. …sexy & volatile... timeless pop tunes... (Nick Bollinger) Fleur Jack & The Twitch; Within seconds of the opening riff I could barely contain the urge to get up and dance, dancing being a rare event for me - in any genre. Alistar Wickens - NZ Musician Mag.
NZ Musician magazine on BlackSandDiva; 'likely to become one of the more significant players on the NZ music scene' and from Rip it Up ' a showcase of exceptional playing and performance'.

The well known artistic and idyllic village atmosphere of Auckland's Titirangi comes alive during the festival and also features performances from King Kapisi, Soljah, Carolina Moon, The Calico Brothers and many more.
