DETLEF ROCK THE BOILER ROOM

Date Added : 9th August, 2010 @ 20:38

A last minute cancellation by two bands, saw Detlef get a call up to play at a Heavy Metal themed evening at the Boiler Room.

While not exactly in the same genre, the crowd were appreciative as Detlef opened with one of their heavier songs, "The Sheet that Don't Fit". This was followed by the their remaining three tracks from their Debut EP (available at www.detlef.bandcamp.com).
The finale was an as yet unreleased track, entitled "Coward".

The Heavy Metal enthusiasts in attendance applauded politely and concurred that Detlef's efforts were worthy of the price of admission. When lead singer Daniel Perry commented "Check out our website and download the EP, even if you don't like it", one punter was overheard shouting "Don't be modest mate, you guys f*#%ing rock!"

A number of local Radio celebs were in attendance, including Backbeat 89.0 FM's newest addition; DJ Sonya Healey. When asked what she thought of Detlef, Sonya replied "They f*#%ing rocked! Pop a big ass emu! Whoop Whoop!!!"

Detlef's next gig will be at the "10 4 10" charity event (10 bands for 10 bucks), raising money for the Child Cancer Foundation.
