Guideless have just released their new single Off The Edge, and are stoked to celebrate it with local indie rock legends Spirit Boy and Hexxer.
Guideless are Ōtautahi locals that play melodic indie rock with a touch of psych and a hint of surf. Their music treads a line from chiming power pop to latin-inspired grooves to fuzzed out shoegazey soundscapes.
Spirit Boy are indie rockers who make music they love to listen to. Led by Ethan Mead’s commanding voice, Spirit Boy take inspiration from Americana and folk artists of the 60’s and 70’s, the earnestness of 80’s new romanticism, and the stadium-filling rock bands that shaped their teenage years.
Hexxer is an alternative rock band that emphasizes dynamic chord progressions and rich, melodic depth to create a sense of heaviness without relying on distortion. The band draws inspiration from artists such as Slowdive, Radiohead, The Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana.
