For May, the Artist Collective are bringing you a night dedicated to Radio & Music Videos in NZ.
This event is for all 'up & coming' bands, artists, managers, promoters, event managers, and anyone else wanting to know a little more about the NZ music industry, from those that have done the hard yards themselves.

Bryan Hudkins - Music Video Director of Voice Films NZ
The panel will be speaking on their experiences in the industry, what to do/what not to do, offering tips & advice + answering audience questions.

Tania was Publicity & Promotions Co-ordinator at Sony Music for four out of her fine years there, closely involved with international stars and multi-platinum selling local artists such as Bic Runga, Brooke Fraser and Che Fu. Working for the NZ On Air promotions team since 2005, Tania's current role there is Repertoire Executive which consist of compiling the Kiwi Hit Disc each month. Prior to that, Tania did the radio plugging role at NZ On Air for 5 years.

Marcus was the lead guitarist and backing vocalist of one of NZs leading Nu-Metal Rock Bands. Blindspott began in 1997 and developed a loyal following in the years leading up to their self titled album release. Blindspott, their self titled debut album, was released in 2002 and reached number 1 and went platinum in New Zealand in its first week of release. It is presently triple-platinum.
Their second single from their 2nd album, Drown, was released on May 1, 2006 and entered the official New Zealand music chart on May 7, 2006, going straight to number 4. End the Silence was released shortly after in New Zealand on May 29, 2006 and broke New Zealand music records - in the first week of release it went straight to Number 1 on the official New Zealand music charts. Blindspott are the first New Zealand music act to have both their albums debut in the charts at Number One. In August 2006, Blindspott played at the Summer Sonic Festival in Tokyo, Japan, alongside major acts such as Metallica, Deftones, Linkin Park and Tool.

Sarin Moddle is the Marketing Coordinator (read: Department) for 95bFM. With no formal training in broadcasting, marketing, or communications (she has an Honours degree in History, Anthropology, & Sexual Diversity Studies), everything she knows, she learned on the job. She has previously hosted the Sunday Night Sex Show (now defunct), continues to host the Sex After Six feature on Thursday Drive, and guest-hosts various shows as necessary. In addition to her dayjob at bFM, she manages the downstairs bar at the Powerstation, and is part of a young industry collective called The Other People, who's goal is to facilitate networking & projects among the next generation of music industry professionals in New Zealand.
