Malevolence
Malevolence is one of New Zealand’s longest standing purveyors of Metal and Grind. Through extensive touring and numerous releases the band has achieved a reputation not only for its unique style but also as an engaging live act.
Formed in 1992, Malevolence has hit the road with bands such as American Legends-Brutal Truth, Swedish Leviathans-Dismember, Grind Gods-Napalm Death, Finland’s Impaled Nazerene, Australia’s BloodDuster, Misery and Atomizer, Austria’s Pungent Stench, plus many local acts. The band has also appeared at major NZ metal festivals such as Christchurch’s Satanfest, Wellington’s Hellington666 and Auckland’s Audience with the Devil and Mammoth Metalfest.

Biography
Mankinds atrocities and accomplishments manifested into a formidable and unforgivably evil expression of Black/Death Metal. Scaphist, inspired by the majestic past of Ancient Iran/Persia and modern extreme music brings in artistic Phrygian & Dissonant atmospheres alongside harshness, speed and aggression with lightning fast kicks, powerful vocal anthems and crushing guitar motifs to create a unique blend of black and death metal mostly unheard of in their clean green home country of New Zealand. Mostly.
Description
SCAPHIST formed as a death metal side project in 2008 by founding members Phil Oli and Harry. After several lineup changes the band aquired Adam on Drums and Wynand on Guitar in late 2009. Rehearsal began early 2010 and a number of shows were played in Auckland, Hamilton & Rotorua. 'MAJESTIC SEAL OF ANTIQUITY' was released for free download March 2011. Dylan as frontman was aquired in the same month. Currently with a stable 5 piece lineup SCAPHIST is perfoming more shows and has an EP entitled 'SUNSET AQUISITION' lined up for release in 2012

Old Kingdom:
After formation in March 2011, Old Kingdom has set out to create a new brutal blend of the extremes of metal. Mixing eerie augmentation and crushing breakdowns with melodic and progressive elements. Culminating in a mix of slamming death, ambient black metal, and groove soaked rhythms.

Setentia:
Auckland City Progressive Tech Death
Setentia is a Progressive Death Metal act from Auckland and founded in 2009 by Hugo and Maxwell Gravelle and began the jamming together process whilst on the look out for more members. Jasper Russell-Dennis became a part of the band soon after the formation of the project and helped conceptualize our message as a band whilst on the search for a second guitarist. Cameron Thompson joined soon after during late 2009 and became a vital contributor towards the sound of the Setentia. From 2011 & 2012 Setentia tried out a few musicians and recruited Roman Sokolov as the third voice and Adam King whom became the long awaited missing link in the chain. Setentia now a full line up and has begun gigging around Auckland.
