Magic Suburb Band is Stu Grimshaw & Mark Laurent. To gently ease you all into the election fever that's coming Saturday night we're providing 2 hours of (mostly) laid-back bluesy, jazzy, cruisy, poppy, soulful dinner music.
A slight variation from our normal 'SATURDAY @ CAFE 121 format is that we're starting at 6 & finishing around 8, so if you feel strongly that you need to watch the box to see who wins then there's no clash of loyalties as election coverage doesn't start till 7& only gets interesting well after 9. If you have no need to see the election then Chris Priestley may put on some of his extensive & marvelous collection of music videos for an hour or so after the 'official' gig finishes.
As always there'll be a koha teapot on the counter should you wish to reward the musicians for their labours.
