Kiwi troubadour Callum Gentleman is releasing a Killer and taking him on the road. The song and video for Callum’s new single Blue Collar Killer are out now, with an 11-date New Zealand tour with his band in September and October, after which he spends November touring Australia.
On Saturday 28th October, Callum returns to the Bay of Plenty, playing at The Incubator. This award winning arts hub was the venue for Callum’s BOP gig in March, pulling one of the biggest audiences of the tour. The building quickly filled, so the crowd spilled out the doors and sat on couches under the stars. And Callum took the performance outside to them. It was a very special night.
For this October event, Callum Gentleman will be joined by two fantastic local acts. The Harmonic Resonators are a Tauranga quartet that plays a rich blend of country and roots music. The band is lead by Tauranga Star awards winner Jeremy Hantler, whose soaring vocals and soulful guitar see him yodelling, hootin’, hollarin’, stampin’ and twangin’ songs of heartache and misfortune.
Opening the night will be solo artist Adam McLean. He’s come a long way since having the guitar lead pulled out during his first performance (the song was Wonderwall) and playing drums at the age of 10 for Smokefree Rockquest. With these early experiences behind him, Adam will be playing a set of original compositions for the October show.
