The Sun Kissed Picnic - Waiheke Family Festival - Save Kennedy Point Environment Court Appeal Fundraiser on February 17th 2018.

A Sun Kissed Picnic on a magical island by a jewel blue sea at a private bayside location.

Save Kennedy Point (and SKP Inc) are thrilled to announce a picnic festival of musical and artistic delights for all ages.

SKP is delighted to have MC Jeremy Elwood to keep the audience entertained between the awesome sets of King Kapisi, Radio Rebelde, The Waiheke International Soul Orchestra, The Solomon Cole Band, Aaron Carpenter and the Revelators - all performing against the backdrop of a beautiful private bay surrounded by ancient pohutukawa trees.

Our ‘Princess of the Pacific’ Tanya Batt with the musical maestro Peter Duncan Foster will also be in attendance and will tantalise your ears with Waiheke centric stories.

There will be artisan foods, Waiheke wine, cheeky picnic punch, circus performers, fairies, face painting, henna tattoos, hair braiding, yoga, fortune telling, and carnival games all backed up with uplifting music and the kind of surroundings that will make your soul dance.

This event is for everyone! Kids aged 0-4 are free (but they do need a ticketed parent with them at all times). Children aged 5 - 15 are $10, adults are $49.

Please bring ID.

If you would like to have an extraordinary experience for a small group (up to 8 of your besties) then contact us about the Sun Kissed Picnic Cabanas VIB (Very Important Besties).

Come and support our beautiful island and its native flora and fauna - by joining us for an afternoon/evening of sun-kissed fun!

Sun Kissed Picnic is organized entirely by volunteers from SKP who are presently appealing a decision to allow a large marina at the quiet bay of Kennedy Point. The appeal costs are estimated to be around $250,000, with $170,000 raised so far; more is needed to protect our fragile island. We are asking the community to dig deep and support our festival by the same waters that will be affected by such a large development. If this marina is built, a dangerous development precedent will be set for the rest of Waiheke Island and New Zealand, leaving almost any bay open for a floating marine development of some design.

Come see us at the Ostend Market SKP stand on Saturday mornings
