Gig Information

Last year in the dead of the Lyttelton winter, under slick black skies on the side of a rocky hill, we snuck away to record my second album. After two years with my finger at the quill, chiselling away at the songs, I'm bloody excited to be able to get up and play them for you.

The first single is called 'This table is a river'. An awkward dinner at a pasta restaurant inspired the words. It began as a protest song reviling gender expectations, threatened to turn into a love song and eventually ended up as a comfort song for one of my close friends.

Come along to Whammy backroom and join me and my incredible band, it's gonna be a party.

Herriot Row is going to join us! I'm very happy about this. Their album Lesser Stars is packed full of poetry and melody in equal parts. And there's a song on there about the Farewell Spit, one of the most amazing parts of the country. Graham Reid says that the songs are 'intimate and penetrating' and Nick Bollinger wrote, ''s someone who really deserves the "singer/songwriter" title, because he does both close to perfection.'
