Gig Information

New Zealand Fringe Festival:

The Electricka Zoo are one of Wellington’s most intriguing new live bands - a duo of live electronica by the Digitator, and Dave Black on guitar & bass. We combine diverse influences from EDM to postpunk avant-garde rock, jazz, reggae, Balkan and Portuguese music into our own homegrown NZ sound. For this, the opening night of our Fringe Festival season, we'll be introducing live video imagery that responds dynamically to the sound.

MuscleMan are an alt. country band that write dark, sweet, melancholy songs about love, loss, and questionable life decisions. Their performances range from intimate, acoustic sessions, to loud, raucous, throw the drum kit into the crowd encounters. Most of all though, they play with feeling. They are working hard at gigging as much as possible to polish up a set of songs they can then take to the studio in April - May 2018.

Fredd Marshall is a sonic shaman. Using his voice he takes you on a journey to the unknown. Improvising loops, drones and overtones he will bring you to contemplate the universe and rethink what it means to be human. He has been to the realms of infinity and brought back treasures to share.

As a solo acoustic bassist, Vince Cabrera draws inspiration from sources such as the Argentine folk music of his childhood, American primitive guitarists such as John Fahey, and composer Erik Satie. For the Pyramid Club gig, he is looking forward to taking the music on a trip toward an ambience involving found sounds and looping.
