Tessa and Jonathan play a unique blend of music for violin, guitar and mandolin that ranges from Irish, Scottish, Canadian and French traditional music, to jazz and country-inflected fingerstyle, to hard-to-classify originals. Recent appearances include the Christchurch Folk Club and the Cardrona Festival. Jonathan's background in early music, most recently playing lute in the Auckland and New Zealand festivals, informs his approach to performing traditional music, and combines with Tessa's youthful, virtuosic tune-playing for an evening of original and dynamic music making.
