Gig Information

The Nukes from West Auckland are far more than a ukulele band. Part vaudeville, part rat-pack, part musical car crash, this talented trio deliver an engaging mix of humour and originality that audiences of all ages will love. The innocent little uke is the instrument of choice and folk will be staggered by what they are able achieve with it. Great song writing, musicianship and 3-part harmony combine to create a truly memorable entertaining experience.
Visiting to promote their Nukes III album which spent six weeks on the nz album chart top ten as well as their upcoming tenth anniversary –including new material for the upcoming fourth album .The band have been tirelessly travelling about since Feb 22nd from Kaitaia to Rakiura and so much in between – over seventy shows many sell outs and attendance records broken including major Festival show appearances at ( Wanaka Festival Of Colour /Coastella Kapiti Coast, Kokomai Masterton & Southland Festival Of Arts) . November 2017 also saw a successful three week tour about Australia the groups fourth visit across the ditch ...we haven’t been back to Whangarei for over a year now and its a good couple of years since we visited Dargaville and the Bay Of Islands . Looking forward to this overdue return. The Nukes where ukulele will never be the same again …………
