Gig Information

Women in Harmony is a fun, dynamic community choir, singing songs from all over the world. However, we never forget that for us, community is the most important aspect. We make the best music we can, but always ensure we're having fun and enjoying each other's company, continually inspired by our talented choir director, Mary Ruston.

Instead of its usual eclectic mix of world music, this year Women in Harmony is presenting an Americana themed concert. You will enjoy a selection of Native American music, spirituals, blues, protest songs, rock’n’roll, Broadway hits and more, including solo performances by some of our members. We are also fortunate to be supported by Melanie Ross on double bass, Tony Hale on guitar and Mary twinkling the ivory as she directs. There’ll be songs to make you laugh, songs that will bring back memories and plenty to make you pause and think. Come with us on a journey to explore the history, diversity and perversity of America through song.
