Wellington Jazz Club presents The Wellington City Shake-'Em-On-Downers. The capital's most danceable, yet offbeat, New Orleans-style swing septet, performing energetic interpretations of standards from the New Orleans tradition, the American Songbook, and some original compositions inspired by the era.
The septet has NZSM graduates Kaito Walley on trombone, Michael Taylor on trumpet, Oscar Laven on saxophone, Louis Thompson-Munn on piano, Alexander Boulton on guitar/banjo, Robert Henderson on bass, Hikurangi Schaverein-Kaa on drums, and practically everyone on vocals.
See you there! Bring friends along to share good jazz! Come early to get a good seat.
If you wish to pre-book a table for 2 or more, visit the Meow website.
