GONG BATH & MEDITATION
with Debbie Karl

7.30pm - 9.00pm
Friday 19th October

Join us for a short meditation followed by a long deep relaxation to the sound current of the Symphonic Gong.
Why do we use the Gong in Kundalini Yoga Studios?
To create deep relaxation and help clear the mind - to reduce stress and anxiety - to stimulate the glandular system and improve its function - to stimulate circulation - to organise your emotions - to aid in breaking addictive behaviour - to regenerate the nervous system - to open and align your major energy centres - to strengthen the parasympathetic nervous system and to repair damage to the nervous system caused by stimulants and stress - to clear and cleanse your aura. So....its quite an instrument!!!! Simply come in comfortable clothing to lie down in deep relaxation.

Tickets $25 or $20 for LightRoom members

ABOUT DEBBIE KARL:
25 years ago I began a love for Sanskrit Mantra. The repetition the way when sung it made my heart and my body feel. The depth I could go to had a strong meditative quality and of course I loved to sing. I always dreamed about how life would have looked had I have become a famous musician. As every musician day dreams in their younger years. Im glad at 47 years old I never happened upon that path I know it may have been the ruin of me. The fire of my personality an date nature of the industry could have really taken me away somewhere else. So here I find myself still in love with the nature of mantra and on a safe Heart path. In my late 30s I began writing my own music on my guitar and lyrics that at the time were expressions of my life at that time, the beauty and the challenges. Through this process I produced a CD and like some artists once completed it remained in boxes in the garage. I realised it was a part of my growth my healing and finding my voice not so much about getting it out there. This energy ran strong for 3 years then switched off and then Mantra came back into my life. Soundbath journeys are something my partner and I have facilitated for years now for groups and for Art Symposiums. Our newest sound healing instrument is the Symphonic Gong. This majestic instrument is a healer in its own right bringing a quality of sound to the human body that creates pure balance and soothe to the Central Nervous System. Its important to me to feel so completely moved by an artist to be able to feel their heart, their vulnerability, to know he/she and I are so the same. For me the music the creation of sound is about me taking my heart placing it in the room in such a true and authentic way that those in the room feel safe to open theirs and thereby receive so deeply the strength of these sound currents. I love opening my voice in this way.
