Paul Symons was originally know as “the tall fulla with the beard; more recently “the tall fulla with the grey beard”, & has been skulking around the edges of the folk & acoustic music scene for some time… a local singer songwriter transplanted in West Auckland from Taranaki. He has a couple of albums of originals and has been in demand as a recording & live accompanist, regularly appearing with local songwriters & performers such as ‘The Helen Dorothy Project’ & Caitlin Smith Paul plays acoustic guitar with ‘Martha Lousie & the Backseat Drivers’ as well as the Paua-duo “PLOT” with Double Bass guru *Lott*..
Mark will play an opening set & the two of them are likely to do some jamming near the end of the evening. Other passing musos are likely to jump in for a harmony, mandolin line etc. The koha teapot is available & your contributions for the musicians are most welcome.
