Gig Information

We’re back with our fourth Spinnin’ Late, and we are honoured to have Toronto’s Ciel joining us. Ciel is a force to be reckoned with — a DJ, producer, radio host, creator of Toronto’s Work in Progress party series & co-founder of collective It’s Not U It’s Me.

Ciel is a member of Discwoman and a long-time resident at Toronto’s influential nightclub, Bambi’s. She released her debut EP, Electrical Encounters, on Shanti Celeste’s Peach Discs in 2017, and has been highlighted as one to watch by Mixmag, RA, Crack Magazine & RBMA. Her own music & DJ sets are a balancing act of laid-back dreaminess, percussive drive and anxious electro.

As a key figure pushing the visibility and safety of women, people of colour and the LGBTQ community in underground dance spaces, we are seriously excited to welcome Ciel to Aotearoa.

On opening duties weve got aw bless, a DJ & musician based in Pōneke/Wellington. A key member of the local dance whānau, her sets seamlessly weave through house, disco and techno with the odd shameless banger thrown in. She also runs Moments, a collective focused on curating parties that promote diversity in the community.
