Bruno Boumendil aka Folamour is evolving since years in the field of music. After a childhood spent learning
drums, guitar, bass and diverse percussions, Folamour lead is project into few bands, from jazz to pop, working
with Lyon's National Orchestra and academy of music musicians. Then he became label manager of the great
record labels Moonrise Hill Material and FHUO Records, and the amazingly talented DJ & Producer we known.
From the local to the international scene, the artist uses lots of aliases and activities to burn most of the coolest
dancefloors in France and beyond borders.
Indeed, he always had the will to spread the music he loves through all the possible ways and that led him to
found two labels : Moonrise Hill Material and FHUO Records. First, Moonrise Hill Material created in 2015 with
Ethyène, Kaffe Crème and St Paul, allowing him to support music from other artists (in particular the founders
musics and friends such as the Better Listen crew from Washington and the Hommage crew from New York).
Then, Folamour needed more than a label directed with other artists, he wanted more freedom musically, to work
with new artists he met on the road, that's why he founded FHUO Records, his own record label.
With already respectively 7000 records sold for Moonrise Hill Material and 3500 records sold for FHUO Records,
we can surely talk about international success for both projects.
But most of all, Bruno is now internationally known behind his DJ & Producer activity behind his name Folamour.
After a whole series of successful records on quality labels such as All City Records, Fauxpas Musik and Sleazy
Beats Recordings, 2017 was definitely a crucial year in his career with the releases on Church and Glitterbox,
and his album on Moonrise Hill Material & Classic. He compiles 1,5 millions of plays on Youtube on his 20 more
listened tracks, and sells around 8000 copies vinyles of his EP. His international profile is also revealed by the
numerous of artists who played Folamour’s releases. To name but a few : Leon Vynehall, Roy Davis Jr, Jacques
Renault, Soulclap, Luke Solomon, Jimpster, Eli Escobar, Laurent Garnier...
Touring since 2014 in some of the best festivals and clubs in Europe, Canada, and Australia such as : Defected
Croatia, Dimensions Festival, Ipse Berlin, Corsica Studios, Wigwam Dublin, Canvas Amsterdam, Concrete Paris,
Rex Club, LaTerrrazza Barcelona, Ancient Future Festival..
He shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the industry such as Grace Jones, Jeff Mills, Theo
Parrish, Gilles Petterson, MK, Basement Jaxx, Kenny Dope, Moodymann, Kerry Chandler, Tim Sweeney,
Marcellus Pittmann, Juan Atkins, Mall Grab, Joey Negro and more.
The near future is going to be full of new projects for him. Already working on a second album planned for
summer 2018, collaboration with vocalists and musicians under his Folamour project and also under new projects
such as Kimosabe, producing sountracks for theater movies and documentaries, remixing famous artists (such
as Tony Allen), there is no end to what Folamour wants to do in the next months.
