A top night of Ska, Rocksteady and Reggae awaits featuring the cream of the crop of Australasian talent.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This summer ACETONES will be embarking on a series of shows right across the North island of New Zealand.

The 7 piece Auckland combo will bring their take on Jamaica’s foundation sounds, the sounds of young Jamaica in the 60s. The beats of ska, rocksteady and early reggae are a summer soundtrack awaiting.

Joining ACETONES on their summer sojourn, direct from Australia will be the WESTONIANS, a vocal trio featuring PAT POWELL, STEVEN MONTGOMERY and MIK WEIR. Pat and Steven are part of ARIA award winning MELBOURNE SKA ORCHESTRA and are heavily involved in the promotion of Jamaican foundation sounds in Australia. Pat is part of the Jamaican music story in Australia having arrived on 1981. Steven fronts THE SKA VENDORS and is an active promoter of the foundation Jamaican sounds in Melbourne. Mik is currently fronting Melbourne punk outfit the ONE TWOS.

The trio have put together a set of vocal treats showcasing the foundation Jamaican sounds.
