The Quiets, from Wellington, New Zealand are a bit like the native Kiwi - sightings of them are rare. So, when there’s an opportunity to experience their unique blend of post-punk, surf rock on the beach, and dub but only in spirit – it's recommended you take it. At times the songs could have you tending a cement mixer of Mark E. Smith, Iggy Pop and Hugh Cornwell.
But once you're well stirred, there are hooks that will remain with you for as long as concrete.
A shared bill at Lovelands - Roll the Dice back in July made for an easy decision to invite Dream State Empire to warm the stage for The Quiets with their rocking tunes that will get anybody in the mood for their Saturday night.
