Gig Information

Lately I’ve been sketching ideas for a 5th album, featuring a lot of instrumentals influenced by guitar greats such as Rory Gallagher, Jeff Beck & John Martin, as well as playing private gigs to keep the fridge and pantry stocked to a respectable level. I'm heading to Europe for my annual tour in August. looking forward to playing some tunes at 121. Dave

Quotes from a review from a show in Germany, 2018
New Zealand singer-songwriter, Dave Alley, entertained the crowds with more than two hours of a top-class mix of musical styles ranging from blues, rock, reggae, funk and folk to tunes from the South Pacific. His guitar and harmonica play are daring, loud alternating with muted, melancholy, thoughtful and brimming with enthusiasm. His guitar inferno was quite hard on the instrument. “I hope, my guitar has survived this“, said the virtuoso, gently kissing the guitar while tuning it.

Mark L will do an opening set & no doubt some jamming with Dave as well - they're band-mates from a long time ago. The cafe koha teapot will be on the counter & your contributions for the musicians are greatly appreciated, thanks.

acoustic/solo, blues, country/folk, Dave Alley, Mark Laurent
