Gig Information

Adam Ogle is a multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter. With strong roots in Irish traditional music and all things folk, Adam takes his inspiration from anything he can get his ears on, from festival goers to strange noises he hears in the odd hours of the night. Dubbed “The man that don’t need no microphone” you can expect powerful vocals, accompanied by intricate guitar work, and the occasional awkward story between tuning.

Emily Roughton is the 2012 and 2013 Scottish Fiddle Champion and has taught at the NZ Gaidhealtachd and Celticanz music festivals. She has performed at the Auckland Folk Festival, Auckland Arts Festival and Edinburgh Fringe, conducted the AFF Youth Orchestra and taught Scottish fiddle workshops in association with Rangitoto College Music Department. Emily performs throughout New Zealand with various bands and is currently based in Auckland.

Mark Laurent, who anchors Saturday nights, will do an opening set & probably jam with Adam & Em too. There's no door charge but we have a koha teapot on the counter near the cash register & your contributions of appreciation for the musicians are much appreciated, thanks.

acoustic/solo, blues, country/folk, Mark Laurent, Emily Roughton, Adam Ogle
