Lars Von Trio
Consisting of Craig Monk (Guitar), Tenzin Mullin (bass), and Greg Cairns (drums). Are a new band of old hands, together they conjure sets of mesmerising psychedelic jams. Their music traverses genres in ways that confuse even themselves, although fans say their sound lies somewhere between Dirty Three and Gang of Four.
The Containers
Another new band of old hands formed around 2 years ago in Waikouaiti and they are:- Jay, guitar & vocals, Mike Dooley, drums, Alan Haig, keys, John White, bass.
The Containers are currently working on an EP. Clarkson says the EP in the works is compiled of songs that are “a little bit spooky, and others that are cruisy - but with an edge”.
