It's Time! Late Model European are hitting the stage to perform their debut album live with full 6-piece band; featuring their producer Ben King (Goldenhorse/Grand Rapids) on bass and, Matthias Jordan (Pluto/Night Choir), on synths.
Joining them will be very special guests, Show Me Where It Hurts, bringing their swingin’ sass and soul, and fingerpoppin’ rock-a-rolla! And, our very own piano man, Jacob O'Callaghan; NZ's answer to Elton John, Billy Joel, and Roy Bittan, all rolled into one.
Pop-rockers, Late Model European are a songwriting and music collaboration between John and Tones; two life-long best friends who grew up together in a wee village back in Scotland.
Starting their musical journey together as wide-eyed teenagers with big dreams, big hair and big amps, they had plans to conquer the music world. Then life came along and took them down different paths. Little did they know they were destined to come together again many years later across the other side of the world, in New Zealand!
Along with their hopes and dreams, a bunch of demos, and Producer, Ben King (Goldenhorse/Grand Rapids), they headed into Neil Finn’s Roundhead Studios. Featuring some of NZ's finest session musicians playing on the songs; a gem of a debut album was born.
