Gig Information

This performance at the Incubator will be a special piano-based concert. Join the band in a homely setting to get a glimpse into
how Paper Cranes new songs were written. Featuring songs off their recent album ‘Voices’, debut album 'The Road Home' and including a lot of their back catalogue, this will be a one-off, intimate show.

At the start of the year, Paper Cranes released their second album ‘Voices’, which followed their strong and successful debut album, ‘The Road Home’. 'Voices' delves into themes of togetherness and relationships, the echoes that pull us together and send us apart. In its darkness and lightness, the album is about doubt and freedom, the changing seasons, the decisions that lead us, the lies we’re told and the search for truth.

'Voices' was released to some great reviews. These are beautifully crafted and arranged songs – from hushed intimacy and confessions of weakness and need (Ghost Life with what sounds like Japanese wooden flute) to a more uplifting folk-rock
style (Midsummer) - Graham Reid

Haunting, iridescent, melancholic, congenial, Paper Cranes evoke a multitude of emotions in a short span of time. An
unexpectedly stark release. Open and unrestricted, Voices is a spiritual unleashing of ideas -

Sam Murgatroyd is the local support. Based in Tauranga, his heartfelt acoustic-based songs will have you right at home in this intimate setting.

It is a small venue so we do recommend pre-booking through the ticket link as the venue sells out fast.
