Madcap is proud to present the New Zealand debut of multi-disciplined artist JAEL.
Giovanni Jano, better known as JAEL, is a 25-year-old Moluccan recording artist, producer, DJ and vocalist from The Hague, The Netherlands. His passion for music began from a young age where he grew up in a household surrounded by Moluccan Folk, Gospel, Soul and Japanese Funk. JAEL embraced these sounds together with a broad variety of inspiration and combined it into his own signature sound: going from Soulful R&B to Heavy Bass Future Beats during his DJ sets but also in his production and/or songwriting.
JAEL is an official member of the LA Based label and community Soulection and is also represented by Studio KOTO, home to his debut EP ‘Time’ released in 2018. He brings a unique JAEL dipped Baile Funk meets Future Beats meets Soul meets Hip Hop sound with his edits & remixes.
