Kiwi singer-songwriters Ruby James and Emily Riordan team up for a limited series of North Island shows featuring their original music. Joining them in Palmerston North is Swamp Witch.
Timaru multi-instrumentalist Ruby James considers the piano her prime weapon. With a smoky voice and a dark, bluesy style, James gives an emotive performance, featuring lyrics that can cut as easily and often as they soothe.
Taranaki's Emily Riordan plays dreamy, melancholic soft pop influenced by her background in classical piano and singing. Her debut EP Waves, a trip hop/trap collaboration with Wellington producer Shxshi, was released in May 2019.
Swamp Witch are a blues based, swamp rock and roll two piece with hypnotic keys, pensive guitars, spell binding vocals layered on top of heart beats and dark trance rhythms.
