ARTIST LINE UP:

*** 10:32 - @1032music
10:32 is the new project from London-based kiwi artist, Bridget Walsh, featuring Lyle Barton on keys, Radovan Brtko on drums and Digby Lovatt on bass. For this tour they will be joined by Melbourne artist, Henry Hicks.

For fans of artists including Hiatus Kaiyote, Kimbra, Erykah Badu, Moonchild and more, 10:32’s booty- shaking soul-pop explores elements of hiphop, jazz, breakbeat, drum & bass, r&b and neo-soul, but isn’t afraid of a good old fashioned breakdown, or an epic synth solo. The band debuted at the Isle of Wight Festival in 2018, followed by a headline tour of New Zealand, along with studio sessions in the UK, NZ and the USA. 2019 was spent gigging and writing, with 10:32 set to start releasing tunes from their new EP in Spring 2020, recorded in January at London’s Total Refreshment Centre.

Bridget is originally from Aotearoa (NZ), and has been touring with UK bands since 2013, taking the stage at a number of iconic global venues and festivals, including Glastonbury, Boomtown, Sono Centrum, Latitude, Estragon Club, Subsonic and the Edinburgh Fringe. Lyle is a Guildhall Jazz grad, who’s playing with UK artists including Emma-Jean Thackray and Golden Mean. Radovan is originally from Slovakia, where he started touring with bands in his early teens, and Digby performs around the world with artists including James Vickery and Kelis.

*** Lou'ana - @louanawhitney
The free-spirited, eclectic sound of Auckland, New Zealand based artist, vocalist and singer-songwriter Lou’ana (Whitney) is one of unparalleled magic. Having carved a place for herself within Auckland’s vibrant music community over the past 6 years as a proud, second generation Samoan New Zealander, Lou’ana’s voice carries the stature of an old soul; “Her smokey intonation and back on the beat phrasing carry echoes of Amy Winehouse. Out of this brew comes a sound that is recognisably her own and it is refreshing to see how comfortable she is with that.” - Jazz Local 32.

Whitney has performed all around New Zealand as part of the inimitable funk troup Hipstamatics, playing a multitude of festivals across the country. The spell-binding artist also performs as part of Two Many Chiefs, and has supported a number of New Zealand jazz acts including Andrew Faleatua at Samoana Jazz Festival and the 2015 Pacific Music Awards, as well as providing live vocals for various outfits around NZ.

2019, Lou’ana released her debut music while performing around the country for her nation wide ‘Move Along Tour’, which included her headlining shows at Waiheke and Tauranga Jazz Festival. Look out for some new music this year!
