Saint Martins is due to record their debut album this September. Situated in a valley above Purau bay is a yurt which is nestled amongst native bush, bird song and blue gums. This will be Saint Martins recording studio for the weekend.
Purau is the place that Monique Aiken feels most at home and is where many of the songs on her previous albums have been composed. All three members of band value honest music which is why a home-style recording experience has been chosen.
After a successful year of house style concerts in small venue settings, Saint Martins has decided to finish the recording process with two intimate concerts. One located in McCormacks bay overlooking the estuary and of course one back in Purau.
