Kōpūtai People's Party was built on the dream of making some noise despite the daytime job. With the dream closer to being fulfilled music is playing through a musical whanau whose band members shift fluidly around the demands of daily life and the Dunedin musical culture of playing in as many bands as possible at once. At the heart of the band beats a large body of original songs - a rootsy blend of blues, pop, reggae and some funky stuff.
