The Committee brings together some of the most in demand musicians in New Zealand, combining their different influences and compositions covering styles from more traditional jazz to the contemporary music of today.
The Committee consists of Mat Fieldes on Bass, Lewis McCallum on Sax, Nick Granville on Guitar and Stephen Thomas on Drums.
Mat Fieldes has spent 25 years based in New York touring the world, playing and recording with musicians such as Ornette Coleman, Joe Zawinul, Jay-Z, Gorillaz, and contemporary ‘crossover’ group Absolute Ensemble.
