Terry is a songwriter and a performer, playing guitar and harmonica and in addition to solo performances, is a long standing member of Dunedin's band The Whirling Eddys and a lifetime member of the Ebeling Brothers.
Both Sides of the Line, Dunedin, consists of John Sule (guitar) Glenda Rogers (keyboard, vocals), Mike Hayward, (bass, vocals), and newest member - drummer Jim Strang - an experienced drummer from many Dunedin bands, including King Leo. Formed in 2009, the band has developed through country-rockabilly to retro-pop still retaining the rockabilly influence. The name of the band was taken from a song sung by Wanda Jackson - Queen of Rockabilly. The band released their first EP, 5, in August, 2012. This was followed by a full-length album, Sideshow in 2013 and Party Line! in September 2016 and their latest album, Dangerous! was released in September 2019. These have received favourable reviews from the NZ Musician magazine, the Otago Daily Times and muzic.net.nz.
