Gig Information

Feast your taringa on the finest selection of wubs on the motu!

This Whiringa-ā-rangi/November, we’re bringing you the lushest line-up of 140, dubstep and wubs to nourish the soul and rattle the ribcage. As always, you can expect a mix of fresh new talent alongside some long-time Aotearoa all-stars.

Fresh talent BABE TECH will kick things off with her characteristic attitude and energy. GHOULIE will take the decks next, and we can't wait to see what dark and delicious treats they bring. MEILANGE, a master of many genres, will be laying down some delicious heavyweight bass. O.G. selecta TANSY (uncomfortable beats) is up next, having returned to Aotearoa’s shores after several years abroad to bring the tastiest of minimal wubs. Finally, BIRKENTHOT (Third Eye Hi-Fi) takes over the decks, ready to crank the dankest late-night energy Moon has ever experienced.

LINE-UP:
2130-2215 BABE TECH (Te Whanganui-a-tara)
2215-2300 GHOULIE (Te Whanganui-a-tara)
2300-0000 MEILANGE (Te Whanganui-a-tara)
0000-0100 TANSY (uncomfortable beats, Ōtautahi)
0100-0200 BIRKENTHOT (Third Eye Hi-Fi, Te Whanganui-a-tara)

Tickets will be available on Humanitix for $10 (up soon), and on the door for $10/$15.

RESPECT AND CONSENT:
Femme n Bass is about creating a culture of respect and consent, where everyone is comfortable and able to enjoy themselves. Don’t forget your part of making this space welcoming for everyone! Respect others’ boundaries on the dancefloor and in your interactions, and if it isn’t an ENTHUSIASTIC yes, it’s a no - from asking for a hug to buying someone a drink. There will be no tolerance of any racist, sexist, ableist, transphobic, homophobic or other gross attitudes, so don’t bring them. Easy! If you come across any inappropriate behaviour or need some support, let the wonderful staff of Moon bar know, or find the Femme n Bass organisers directly, we’re all happy to help.

You can read more about our expectations of behaviour, how we will deal with any issues, and how to get support here.

COVID-19:
Please don’t come out if you are feeling unwell!

----------------------------------------

Femme n Bass is about showcasing the massive talent amongst the babes of the bass music community; creating spaces for femme and gender diverse DJs and producers of Aotearoa to strut their stuff, while putting on an epic night of heavy tunage.
