The Weather Machine is the creative project of musician Slater Smith, who recently relocated to New Zealand and will make his Aoteoroa premiere at the Christchurch Folk Club.
With hearty lyricism and theatrical flair, Slater’s material explores a wide territory, spanning everything from jazzy glam rock to more traditional folk and singer-songwriter sensibilities.
During this intimate solo performance, you can expect a rich combination of warm ballads, zany story-songs, and plenty of finger picking folk stylings. You’ll also hear some brand new songs from The Weather Machine’s unreleased record, set to come out later this year.
You can listen to Slater's past recordings by searching for The Weather Machine on Spotify, or visiting weathermachinemusic.com
