Kokomo | The Back Room, Thames | Sunday 28 August | doors - 2.30pm; show - 3pm

Kokomo, based in sunny Tauranga, is New Zealand's leading blues 'n' roots band, having established a unique and distinctive style and becoming renowned for dynamic live shows and highly-regarded songwriting. Since the last millennium Kokomo has left an indelible stamp on the New Zealand blues scene, toured extensively throughout the country, performing at the country’s major rock, blues, jazz and folk festivals, releasing more than a dozen albums and a live concert DVD.

The band have just released a new album of modern Kiwi blues, Workhorse, which can be heard via:

Derek Jacombs – acoustic guitar | vocals
Nigel Masters – bass
Grant Bullot – harmonica | percussion
Ian “Beano” Gilpin – drums
Santiago Rebagliati - guitar
