Expect kooky flavours of psychedelic cumbia, acid house, jet-lag disco & intergalactic space funk.
Introducing Patsy Skeet for the first installment of dance music;
Surfing a wave of star dust trailing behind Ziggy himself and accompanied by a small
white horse named Sally, Patsy arrived on this planet from an orbit far far away holding
a basket filled with grooves. This adventure through time and space has culminated in a unique
sound woven with thunderous uk basslines, mysterious synth led techno, funky breaks, post
disco icons and the deepest of house.
A multidisciplinary artist, DJ/producer and performer, Patsy will take you for a wild ride, nothing
like you have ever experienced. Delve deep into the immersive atmosphere at a Patsy Skeet
set, riding the waves of the emotive journey through the sounds and sights she curates.
With a penchant for the bizarre, Patsy collaborates with performers who bring the music to life
via electrifying circus, dance, fire and flow arts. Every element is curated, from the music she
plays to the hand made costumes she wears. Blurring the line between fashion, art, music and
entertainment. Inspired by the likes of David Bowie, Siouxsie Sioux and Vivienne westwood.
Patsy is a favourite for music and arts festivals, with notable performances at Splore, AUM New
Years Festival, Shipwrecked, Brazen, Abracadabra at Ponderosa Ranch, Lucky Star and
Auckland Fringe Festival.
Skeet will be playing an extended set, at the peak hours of this club night with Louie Carrol on warm up & closing duties.
Warming up the room with some psychedelic flavours, building into a familiar house groove & finishing the evening with a heavier slow techno sound. Louie Carrol will be dipping into a vast collection of music gathered over 10 years working across small NZ music festivals.
An underground basement club, a stones throw from Albert Park in Tamaki Makaurau will be hosting these dances . ilBrutto has a tidy Tubbs Audio soundsystem in an intimate setting.
Sound quality is priority & the focus is on the music.
