Lipstick have been turning heads in Te-Whanganui-A-Tara/Wellington's indie music scene after only a handful of live shows. Initially formed in 2023, the band channels a raucous garage-rock energy that creates songs that are simultaneously hard-hitting and catchy - reminiscent of post-britpop influences Bloc Party and Interpol. This sound has been embraced by both supporters of the band and their contemporaries, with Lipstick having shared the stage with Bleeding Star, Daisy Grae, Crying Club, Baldleaf and many more!
Tāmaki Makaurau multi-instrumentalist, artist and producer Benjamin Mack has emerged into the NZ indie scene with a sound that incorporates a radical yet elegant feel, Channeling tones from the 60s and 70’s to bring out the vulnerability he often writes.
Heidi Simpson is a 22 year old indie pop artist from Tamaki Makaurau. After spending years developing her craft in other musical endeavours, Heidi released her debut single in 2023. Inspired by both the world around her and the world in her head, she is set to captivate audiences with her head in the clouds, honest and romantic take on alternative pop music. Heidi will be releasing a string of singles throughout the remainder of 2024, with a debut EP set to release in early 2025.
