Dynamic Country-Celtic music duo featuring Craig Prichard and Paul Turner, two seasoned musicians with a passion for classic country hits and driving Celtic tunes. Last seen in this neck of the woods at Mussel Fest 25, The Ruahine Rouseabouts are super looking forward to playing the Boathouse.
Hailing from the mighty Manawatū, the duo brings a rich, soulful sound inspired by the greats of country music, blending entertaining storytelling with masterful musicianship.
Craig Prichard, with his smooth vocals and skilful guitar playing, has a deep-rooted love for traditional country music.
Paul Turner complements the duo with his exceptional multi-instrumental talents on pipes, fiddle, whistles and harmonica, along with harmonising vocals, and rhythmic prowess.
His background in folk (NZ music awards Tui winner), blues, and country gives Ruahine Rouseabouts a unique and authentic sound, paying tribute to the golden era of country music while adding fresh Celtic twists.
With their name inspired by the rugged Ruahine Ranges, the duo embodies the hardworking, down-to-earth spirit of country music while also drawing from the deep well of driving Celtic tunes.
