Live Photos: Blind Boy Paxton - Black Barn Market, Havelock North
Monday 14th March, 2016 11:07AM
Los Angeles–based bluesman Jerron "Blind Boy" Paxton is currently in the country for a string of shows through Auckland, Lyttelton, Havelock North and Wellington. The multi-instrumentalist, whose sound draws influence from blues masters of the 1920s and 1930s such as Fats Waller and "Blind" Lemon Jefferson, played a wonderful outdoor show at the Black Barn Market in Havelock North last night, with support from Cabin Fever. Photographer Gerry Le Roux went along and took the lovely images below...
Blind Boy Paxton is performing tonight at a rescheduled The Tuning Fork in Auckland, after Thursday's show was postponed due to the artist having lost his voice. Head over here for more information.
