
The Bats Announce 'The Deep Set' Album Release Tour
To celebrate the release of their ninth studio album The Deep Set, long-standing indie pop outfit The Bats have announced a four-date New Zealand tour. Released in January via Flying Nun Records, the 12-song album is the first full-length offering since 2011's Free All The Monsters, and was recorded at The Sitting Room studios in Lyttelton with Ben Edwards, who has also worked with the likes of Marlon Williams, Nadia Reid and Aldous Harding.
The album release tour will see the four-piece joined by Mikey Summerfield and Allen Starrett on viola and John Chrisstoffels on cello, and will kick off with a hometown show later this month. Then in May the band will head northward for the remaining dates - after which they will continue on to tour Europe and the UK. Here are the details...
