The Tape Wolves And The Bloodbags Announce New Records + Release Shows

Local low brow label Stink Magnetic Records are gearing up to add two more rock 'n' roll releases to their catalogue and to celebrate they've line up a bunch of killer shows around the country. For their part Auckland garage-rock foursome the Bloodbags will be letting loose their Busted Chops EP, (which will be available on blood red 7-inch vinyl) meanwhile Wellington outfit The Mysterious Tape Wolves will be rolling out their full-length offering Esoteric Surf Trash. From the haunted hills of the land of the long white cloud to the esteemed catalogue of the Stink Magnetic Record Company. This autumn see Aucklands BLOODBAGS and Wellingtons TAPE WOLVES present together a combined NZ release tour publicly unveiling their respective new recordings by the Stink Magnetic Record Company:

THE BLOODBAGS present their "Busted Chops" EP: a stompin aural assault bound together by blood red vinyl on the Stink Magnetic trademark jukebox 33 7" format. This just in from record company janitor D.Thomas Herkes: "It is a pleasure to finally release one of our local heros and his killer combo THE BLOODBAGS on our record label. After years of his service to the shelves of New Zealand punks it is our honour to pay him back a little portion of the incredible contribution he continues to give us here in NZ today be it obscure imports, local releases, writing, festivals or his own incredible combos". The Busted Chops EP features four unreleased tracks recorded recently to tape beneath Auckland and comes with risographic cover and liner notes detailing each ear-bleeding track.

THE MYSTERIOUS TAPE WOLVES present 'ESOTERIC SURF TRASH' on long-playing flexi-disc - 22 tracks of Haunted Surf by themselves and countless other incarnations of THE MYSTERIOUS TAPE MAN to date. A full 13 unreleased hits accompanied by a smorgasboard of classics across former formats making it a complete and comprehensive overview of the tape monster and the first full-length LP by them. Presented with hand screen-printed sleeve and risographic liner. As well as other major towns on this landmark tour see the TAPE WOLVES open at the former Stink Magnetic Office in Whanganui, performing live in their former high school hall and instore at Death Ray records.
